Kyle Arrived at the Guatemala MTC. This is his MTC Group. He's doing great and learning fast.Latest excerpt from Kyle's letter:
"The MTC here is way better than Provo. There's only 50 people here, and half of them are latinos. They have a fence with armed guards, and if you touch the fence at night, an alarm goes off. I am learning fast and having some fun, just still wishing to be in the field. Tell people to send me e-mails and letters. The fastest way is through dearelder.com but you can send it through the pouch or regular mail.....The store here is a guy in a car that sells to us through the fence. We eat 4 times a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and refraction, which is just a snack at 8:00 pm. We eat a lot of black beans, sometimes puréed, looks like pudding, and a lot of fresh juices and fruits, and rice. There's a drink here made of dried flowers which is really good..."
"... yesterday a bus got held up and the bus driver got shot. You can send stuff through the regular mail with $.94 cent postage. Tomorrow we go on splits with the South mission, so it should be interesting. The mail is pretty safe, just if you send a package, you might put some pictures of Christ and the virgin Mary on it so the gangs will leave it alone..."
